About Diamond Painting
What is diamond painting?
Diamond painting is a relaxing craft where you place tiny resin "diamonds" (called drills) onto a coded canvas to create a sparkling mosaic artwork.
What's the difference between square and round drills?
Square drills are 2.5 mm and snap together neatly, creating sharp, detailed images.
Round drills are 2.8 mm, easier to place, and give a softer look with more sparkle.
Note: Please note that Square drills are full resin and Round drills are resin composite.
Are your kits full drill or partial drill?
All of our kits are full drill unless specifically noted, meaning the entire canvas is covered with diamonds.
Do you include everything I need?
Yes! Each kit includes a premium printed canvas, drills (resin square and resin composite rounds diamonds), applicator pen, tray, and wax.
Ordering & Shipping
Where do your kits ship from?
All kits are drop shipped directly from our overseas manufacturer.
How long does delivery take?
Orders typically arrive within 2–6 weeks after being placed, depending on processing time, destination, and carrier conditions.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and displayed before payment is completed.
Do I have to pay customs or duties?
United States: Our manufacturer covers customs/duties under a DDP program — no extra fees.
Canada, Australia & New Zealand: Customers are responsible for customs/duties.
Other countries: Customs/duties may apply depending on local rules.
What if my order is lost or damaged?
In the unlikely event your order is lost or damaged, please email us at mddltdcs@outlook.com. We'll work directly with our manufacturing partner to resolve the issue and send a replacement within the normal 2–6 week timeframe.
Returns, Refunds & Order Issues
Do you accept returns?
Because each kit is made to order and produced specifically for you, we do not accept returns for change of mind or incorrect selection.
What if something is wrong with my order?
If your canvas arrives damaged, defective, or incomplete, we will replace the affected item or make it right at no additional cost. Please contact us at mddltdcs@outlook.com within 7 days of delivery so we can assist promptly.
Refunds & processing time:
In cases where a replacement is not possible, an approved refund will be issued to the original payment method. Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days once approved.

Do you use AI artwork?
Yes, but always thoughtfully and in collaboration with artists. Every image we release is reviewed, licensed, and carefully chosen to bring variety and creativity to our community.

MDD Hand Rendering FAQ
Hand rendering is where artwork begins its transformation into a diamond painting. It gives a designer the opportunity to work thoughtfully with colour, detail, definition and the little nuances that help preserve the heart of the original artwork in diamond form.
At MDD, we offer two levels of professional hand rendering: MDD Select and MDD Complete, followed by our own MDD Signature Touch.
You'll always know which one you're choosing. Select canvases have a silver MDD Select badge above the price on the product listing, while Complete canvases have a gold MDD Complete badge.
What is MDD Select?
MDD Select is 70% professionally hand rendered.
A skilled designer works through key areas of the artwork by hand, with thoughtful attention to colour, detail, definition and the features that give the original piece its character.
The remaining portions preserve the original rendering. This creates a blend of carefully hand-charted areas and more intricate, confetti-style sections, allowing finer details and complexity to remain where they serve the artwork.
70% is the MDD standard for Select. We do not offer a lower level of professional hand rendering.
What is MDD Complete?
MDD Complete is 100% professionally hand rendered.
A skilled designer works through the entire canvas from beginning to end, considering colour, definition, shading, detail and how each area translates into diamonds.
Complete does not necessarily mean confetti-free. Some artwork benefits from more intricate colour changes to preserve depth, texture, shading or tiny details. The goal of hand rendering is not to remove every bit of confetti. It is to make thoughtful choices about where it belongs.
How do you decide which canvases become MDD Complete?
MDD Complete is something we choose selectively.
Only a smaller number of canvases receive the full 100% hand-rendering treatment. We consider the artwork, its complexity, how it translates into diamond form and the experience we want the finished canvas to create.
The distinction between Select and Complete is about the rendering approach chosen for that particular piece, not the value of the artwork or the artist behind it. Both begin with artwork we are excited to bring to life.
What is the MDD Signature Touch?
Once professional hand rendering is complete, the canvas comes to MDD for our part of the rendering process: the MDD Signature Touch.
Our team thoughtfully chooses and charts the special drills throughout the canvas, placing them where they enhance the artwork rather than adding sparkle simply for sparkle’s sake.
On MDD Select canvases, we may also make fine colour touches where they complement special placement. On MDD Complete canvases, our Signature Touch is focused on the thoughtful selection and placement of specials.
Every special has a purpose.
Why does MDD Select sometimes have more confetti than MDD Complete?
Because Select intentionally retains portions of the original rendering.
Those areas may contain more intricate or confetti-style charting than the sections worked through by hand. That is part of the difference between Select and Complete and allows finer detail and complexity from the original render to remain.
We may make small colour touches during our Signature Touch process, but Select is not intended to become a fully hand-rendered canvas.
Does fully hand rendered mean there will be no confetti?
No.
Confetti is not automatically a flaw. In the right places, intricate colour changes can create softness, texture, shading, dimension and detail that could be lost if everything were simplified.
A Complete canvas has been worked through entirely by hand, but a designer may still intentionally use confetti where it best serves the artwork.
How can I tell what the charting will look like before I buy?
Take a good look at the rendered image on the product listing.
We include it so you can see the actual colour placement, charting style, level of detail and more intricate areas of that particular canvas before you purchase.
It is the clearest preview of how the artwork has been translated into diamond form, and we strongly encourage you to review it before choosing your kit.
Because while we love a little mystery at MDD, what your canvas looks like should not be one of them.
